The www-nginx category is expected to contain third party modules for the NGINX server, which was made possible with the introduction of nginx-module.eclass. Currently, NGINX bundles 25 modules that could all be separate packages. A non-comprehensive list of these modules: ngx_devel_kit[1], ngx-fancyindex[2], lua-nginx-module[3], nginx-push-stream-module[4] and many more. See the www-servers/nginx ebuild for the full list of bundled moduled that may be packaged in the www-nginx category.
