I think the following scenario is plausible: 1) have no repos except gentoo, or maybe other repos that are synced and marked volatile (as is the default if owned by portage). no repo called 'crossdev'; 2) run crossdev; 3) it puts stuff into one of those repos; 4) on sync, portage then wipes any local changes. i.e. if a 'crossdev' repo exists it'll use it, but if not, and you don't pass a flag, it will use any local one, and such a repo may get wiped later on sync. Warn the user to create a 'crossdev' repository in pkg_postinst on new installs. Signed-off-by: Sam James <sam@gentoo.org>
